Cynthia Penovi is a recognized leader in the translation and interpreting industry in the United States, with over 13 years of professional experience across healthcare, technical, and scientific fields. She is an ATA-Certified English-Spanish Translator and a Certified Medical Interpreter (NBCMI), two nationally recognized professional credentials awarded through rigorous, standardized certification processes. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English–Spanish Technical, Scientific, and Literary Translation and a master’s degree in Art and Communication. She is committed to continuous professional development and has completed additional postgraduate training and specializations in the field, including a recent master’s degree in AI and Innovation for Localization. Throughout her career, Cynthia has worked across multiple areas of the language industry, including medical translation and interpreting, localization and transcreation for global brands, linguistic QA and multilingual content strategy, and consulting, as well as LLM training, evaluation, and data annotation. Cynthia actively contributes to the advancement of the profession through leadership and service. She serves on the Leadership Council of the American Translators Association’s Translation Company Division and is actively involved with professional organizations such as AATI and CATI.
